I have already been able to use my new skills and knowledge in my job.”  Aspiring manager, part of the Skills for Care Aspiring manager pilot”. - Feedback from an Aspiring Manager as part of the Skills for Care aspiring manager pilot.

It is underpinned by models of leadership that can be practically applied to deliver change ad promote best practice.

What a start to 2018! We've written a strategic briefing document for Safeguarding Adults Boards on behalf of Research in Practice for Adults (RiPfA). its focus is on how Boards can ensure they are commissioning quality training and supporting its transfer into practice. Watch this space as it is being published anytime soon.

Also we've written a Train the Trainer programme for level 1 Safeguarding after we've had so many requests for one. It is available to book on now and more details can be found in what we offer.

But our most favourite news is that we won Outstanding Learning and Development Provider award at the recent Cornwall and Isle of Scilly Support and Care awards held at the Eden project on the 9th March. We still can't quite believe it and are so humbled that our values and ethics, as well as the programmes we facilitate have been recognised as being worth while. None of that would have happened without the people who book on and give us such positive feedback. Thank you all so much, we love what we do, and it looks like you do too!!

Blog to follow!

2017 has been a busy year for us at FreeBird Associates, we have met so many amazing people really committed to be providing excellent support in Cornwall, and feel extremely honoured to have worked with them all. We've got more courses coming up in 2018, but if there is anything related to Health and Social Care that you think we might be able to help with, get in touch and we'll see if its viable for us to run open courses.

However you may recognise this festive season, we hope you find time to look after yourselves. Here's to 2018, we hope to see you soon x

We're moving!!!

We're really excited that we are moving to a new office in the Tremough Innovation Centre, Penryn. We've loved our time a HWIC, but an opportunity arose that was too good to pass up. Our address can be found on the footer of the web page, all other contact details remain the same.

12/02/18. We've become members of Tick! it's a review programme that gives attendees of learning and development  courses the opportunity to rate both the course provider and the course content in terms of knowledge/learning gained, impact on practice and quality and value for money. We will be asking of attendees to use this as part of the course evaluation. Here is the link: http://www.cahsc-cornwall.org.uk/tick-review/
